What makes a power cage worth the floor space

A power cage is the piece you build a serious home gym around. Ours are rated 1200 to 1600 lbs, carry J-hooks and safety bars for solo squats and bench press, and most of them add a LAT pulldown and low row pulley so the same frame covers your back and arm work. On the cable crossover frames, two adjustable pulley columns turn the cage into a full cable station for flys, face pulls and triceps work.

Packages save the guesswork. Several cages come as the frame only, with a 140, 160 or 230 lb color bumper plate set, with an Olympic barbell, or with a bench. The plates follow IWF color coding, the bar takes 2-inch plates, and every piece in a package is sized to fit the cage it ships with.

Before you order, measure ceiling height and the floor area plus room to load plates on both sides. A cage needs a level floor, ideally rubber mats, and anchoring is recommended for kipping or band work.

Questions about Sportsroyals power cages & squat racks

Quick answer

When the home court becomes a weight room, the cage is the center line. Squat, bench, pull and press inside one steel frame with safeties at your side.

Power tower vs power cage: which is better?

A power tower is for bodyweight training in a small space. A power cage is for loaded barbell training with safeties: squats, bench press, rack pulls and, with a pulley, LAT pulldowns. Many of our customers start with a tower and add a cage when the plates arrive.

What do the package options include?

Each cage page lists its options: frame only, frame plus color bumper plates, frame plus plates and an Olympic bar, or the full bundle with a bench. Pick the option in the selector and the price and button follow it.

How tall is a Sportsroyals power cage?

Most of our cages stand roughly 83 to 87 inches tall. Leave headroom for pull-ups on the top bar and check the exact height on each product page before you order.
